Dermitage – Does Dermitage Diminish Fine Lines and Wrinkles?

Beauty Q & A's

Question: My friend and I are the same age and although we’ve led similar lifestyles, I seem to have aged a lot worse than she has. While we both have fine lines on our face, I’m really bothered by the deep-set wrinkles around my mouth and even though I know they are so-called ‘laugh’ lines, I really don’t find them funny! While searching the internet, I found a brand called Dermitage which has something called Rejuvaline in it. I’m guessing this is some kind of rejuvenating substance. Am I right?

DermitageAnswer: While the internet can be a great place to look for new products and research ingredients, it is easy to get carried away with slick presentations and ‘too good to be true’ statements. Many skin care companies like to use highly technical terms for their formulas which are often no more than skin moisturizers and brighteners. Dermitage is a brand that is only sold over the internet and while the product website is not as over exaggerated as some, it still uses language that makes it seem superior to the rest. For example, the product, which actually consists of a two-step system, uses a substance called Rejuvaline which is supposed to have the ability of delivering the cream’s other ingredients deep into the skin, targeting the areas that need them most. Similarly, the formula contains patented ‘lifting spheres’ that give an instant boost to the complexion, much in the way facial injections would over time.

Because the process consists of a lifting cream and heavier skin renewal complex, the user will get 24 hour protection for their skin but it would be even more helpful if the manufacturer showed clinical study results to prove this type of skin care technology actually works as well as they say.

If you do shop for an anti-wrinkle product in a health store, pharmacy or on the Internet, you’ll often find hundreds of different brands containing a confusing array of ingredients. You may be tempted to experiment with different products until you find one that works. But this approach may be expensive. More importantly, not all products contain the quality and quantity of necessary ingredients to positively promote long-term improvements on the appearance of wrinkles and an overall healthy complexion. That’s why you’ll need to do a little bit of research to find the best, most potent brand for your needs.
